In the AHRF, we don't require any dues or membership fee's to be a member. All you have to do is register a user account on the AHRF website, that's all there is to it! Once your account is approved, you become what we refer to as, a One Star Level Member.
You can increase your level of membership within the AHRF by submitting and successfully completing a given number of merits for each level of advancement within the AHRF.
A merit is a little bit like a Scouting merit badge only there are no pre-determined requirements, the requirements are set out by you when you submit a merit request to the AHRF Merit Committe for approval..
That's right, you define the merit requirements when you submit a merit request to the AHRF Merit Committee for approval. Once your merit request has been approved then all you need to do is complete it successfully and you earn the merit.
Merits can be anything from assisting on an AHRF excursion to volunteering for a fund raiser and anything in between ... there really is no limit as to what you can do to earn a merit. You only need to submit it and have it approved by the AHRF Merit Committee.
